PBB Collab 3.0 housemates in the kitchen on the morning of Day 9

Day 9 had tears and tension, but it also had plenty of laughs. Here are the PBB funny moments Day 9 of Collab 3.0 gave us, ranked loosely by how hard we laughed, with timestamps from the official full episode on YouTube. For the full story, read the Day 9 recap, and catch up with the Day 8 funny moments.

1. Kuya gives Lans a stepper (3:23)

On her birthday morning, Kuya asked Lans if the kitchen counter was too high for her. She laughed and confessed she always tiptoes while washing the dishes. “Liit ko po kasi.” Kuya told her to look under the cabinet, and she found a stepper. Two of them, actually. “Perfect. Tangkad mo!”

Kuya roasting a birthday girl about her height, then fixing the problem, is elite Kuya behavior. Half tito joke, half genuine care.

Also, “dalawa agad” is the best reaction. She didn’t expect one. She got two. That’s a Kuya upgrade.

2. “Don’t breathe there” (16:11)

During the tense final blocks of the weekly task, someone got a little too excited near the tower. The response: “Huwag mong gulatin. Don’t breathe there.” The excited housemate’s defense: “Na-excite lang ako eh. Para may pera tayo next week.”

We’ve all been at a Jenga table where someone says “don’t breathe.” Now imagine the Jenga is worth a week of food. Understandable panic.

And the excuse is perfect. Getting excited about the grocery budget is the most relatable thing anyone has said in this house.

3. Anthony’s motivation: food (16:04)

Speaking of food, Anthony explained what he was thinking while placing the last blocks: “I just thought of the food for the following week.”

Other athletes visualize the trophy. Anthony visualized the ulam. And it worked, so who are we to judge?

We also like how calm he sounded about it. Hands shaking, whole house watching, and his brain chose groceries. That’s a survival instinct.

4. “Vibrations, vibrations, vibrations!” (18:03)

Once the miniature house went on top, everyone had to sit down and stay still for 100 seconds. Someone kept warning the room: “Vibrations. Vibrations. Vibrations.” Nobody moved. Nobody breathed.

A house full of adults frozen in place because of a popsicle-stick house is a comedy sketch on its own. Add someone whispering “vibrations” like a ghost hunter, and it’s perfect.

5. Lans looking for a gift she can’t name (22:14 to 23:03)

Kuya told Lans to find her birthday gift inside the house, but she didn’t know what it was. So when the housemates asked, “Ano ba hinahanap mo?” her honest answer was, “Hindi ko rin alam.”

Kuya basically sent her on a treasure hunt with no map and no treasure description. The housemates helping her search for “something” is a whole mood.

The payoff made up for it, though. The “something” was a video from her dad, and it made everyone cry.

6. The fake headache test (34:53)

While talking about how caring Jeo is, the girls decided to test it. “Maga-act ako next time. ‘Sakit ng ulo ko.’ Tignan mo kung mag-o-offer.”

A scientific experiment, PBB edition. Hypothesis: Jeo is maasikaso to everyone. Method: fake a headache. Results: pending.

We really hope they do this on camera. Please, Kuya.

7. The two-mop explanation (36:20)

Someone asked why Jeo and another housemate were mopping the same spot instead of splitting up. The answer came with a very serious explanation: one mop is broken, so it’s just for drying. “Ah, okay. Gets gets.” And then everyone laughed anyway.

The more detailed the explanation, the more suspicious it sounds. That’s the first rule of chismis. “Isang sira, pang-dry lang” is going straight to our list of excuses that convinced nobody.

Also, whoever gave the explanation deserves credit for committing. No hesitation, full technical detail about mop drying. Respect.

8. “Sa atin lang ‘to ah” (40:57)

Shea, after telling Kuya all about her crush on Jeo: “Kaya nga pag nalaman ‘to ng tatay ko… sa atin lang ‘to ah.”

Shea, it’s on national TV. And YouTube. And here. Her dad definitely knows now.

In fairness, it’s the most innocent kind of funny. She really believes the confession room is a vault. We love her for it.

Our take on the PBB funny moments of Day 9

Day 9’s humor came from pressure and from kilig. The tower made everyone tense, and tense people say funny things. The Jeo chismis made everyone giddy, and giddy people make up very detailed mop excuses.

Our wish for Day 10: the memory makeover challenge, with costumes and a race. If the Halloween party was any sign, we’re in for more chaos.
