PBB Collab 3.0 Funny Moments Day 8: Kumot Ang Sagot, Balut Shots, and Bela Asking Kuya for Alak

PBB Collab 3.0 boys doing a balut shot at the Halloween party

Day 8 was a party episode, so of course it was funny. Here are the PBB funny moments Day 8 of Collab 3.0 gave us, ranked loosely by how hard we laughed, with timestamps from the official full episode on YouTube. For the full story of the night, read the Day 8 recap, and if you missed the last episode, here are the Day 7 funny moments.

1. “Guys, sinong kumuha nito?” (24:50)

The housemates found the tiny popsicle-stick Bahay ni Kuya on the table and turned into detectives. “It was here on the table.” “Paper?” “It’s popsicle sticks.” Robbie and Mikee, the actual makers, just had to stand there and act surprised.

The funniest part is the investigation going nowhere. Nobody asked the obvious question, “who’s good with crafts?” It’s like watching a group chat try to figure out who ate the last slice of cake, while the culprit sends “huh? ano yan?”

Also, “Paper?” is such a specific guess. Someone looked at a clearly wooden house and went with paper. We love them for it.

2. “Kumot ang sagot” (16:22)

When their plan kept getting blocked by housemates hanging around, the solution to Robbie and Mikee’s secret task was simple: a blanket.

We respect a low-budget plan. No gadgets, no distraction device. Just a kumot, in a house where everyone already wears one because it’s cold. Peak resourcefulness.

It’s also the most PBB solution possible. This house has hidden microphones and dozens of cameras, and the winning strategy still came down to a blanket from the bedroom.

3. Bela asks Kuya for alak (18:20)

While Kuya was asking the girls how they’d celebrate, Bela had one request: “Alak, Kuya!” Kuya immediately asked, “Bela, anong binabalak?”

Bela is three for three on funny-moments lists. She just says the thing everyone’s thinking. It’s a birthday party, so the question wasn’t even unreasonable. Kuya’s suspicious “anong binabalak?” is the perfect tito response.

What makes Bela funny is the timing. She waited until Kuya was being sincere, asking how they’d make the birthday girls happy, then dropped the most honest answer in the room. That’s a comedian’s instinct. If PBB ever does a stand-up task, she should go first.

4. Nicole versus the balut (31:10 to 33:40)

Shea announced “There’s a balut!” and Nicole’s first reaction was “I feel like I won’t like it.” She tried it anyway. Her review in the confession room was diplomatic: it tasted nice, like hot soup, but she just didn’t like what it was.

“It tastes nice but I don’t like what it is” is the most accurate balut review ever written. Every Filipino who has ever handed a balut to a foreign friend has heard some version of this.

What we loved was that she didn’t fake it for the camera. She could have said “it’s so good!” to be polite. Instead she gave a real answer, kindly. That honesty is why her reaction is funnier than a dramatic gag would have been.

5. The balut shot (34:20 to 35:00)

Anthony announced he wanted to enjoy his balut, and the boys did a “balut shot,” heads back, all at once. “So good.” “That tastes good.” Someone else’s verdict: “In fairness, edible.”

“In fairness, edible” deserves to be on a shirt. That’s the energy of someone who expected the worst and got a pleasant surprise.

The balut shot is a genius rebrand, by the way. If you call it a shot, it becomes a dare instead of a meal, and the boys will do anything framed as a dare. Someone teach them about adding suka and asin next time.

6. Robbie’s racing heart (21:40)

After rushing the miniature house to the elevator, Robbie admitted to Kuya he was nervous. Mikee had the same problem: acting normal on the outside, “dugdugdugdug” on the inside.

Two of the most composed people in the house, both admitting they were panicking. It’s comforting, honestly.

We also like that the show let them be nervous on camera. A lot of reality TV edits make secret missions look smooth. Here, you saw the sweating, the waiting, and the “Inip na ako.” Real panic is funnier than fake confidence.

Our take on the PBB funny moments of Day 8

Day 8 proves you don’t need a prank task to get laughs. Put fourteen people in costumes, give them balut, and hide a tiny house in plain sight, and the comedy writes itself. The best moments came from honest reactions: Nicole’s polite balut review, Bela’s alak request, and a room full of detectives who never solved the case.

Our wish for Day 9: more of this. The house is relaxed now, and relaxed housemates are funny housemates.
