PBB Nominations Explained: How Evictions Work and What We Know for Collab 3.0

How a PBB eviction usually works: nominations, public vote, eviction

First nomination results — November 8, 2026

As of November 8, 2026, approximately 5:30 PM Manila: The PBB Collab 3.0 first nominees are confirmed in the official ABS-CBN livestream:

Two nominees will leave at the end of the week: one Kapuso and one Kapamilya. The exact eviction date, voting platform, voting window and full voting mechanics were not announced in the reviewed clip. Do not treat this fan site’s poll as an official vote.

Robbie Jaworski is a celebrity house guest, not an official housemate. Nomination votes for him do not count. He is not one of these six nominees. No eviction result has been announced in this update.

Every PBB season, the same question pops up in the comments the moment the first nomination night gets teased: “Paano ba talaga gumagana ang botohan?” So let’s talk about PBB nominations and evictions, how they’ve worked in past seasons, and what we actually know for Collab 3.0 as of November 8, 2026.

The November 8 first nomination has now aired, with six individual nominees: Ethan Benares, Mikee Quintos and Nicole Fortuna (Kapuso); Calix Esguerra, Nathan Garcia and Primo Alterado (Kapamilya). The show said one Kapuso and one Kapamilya will leave at the end of the week. Full voting mechanics, platform and exact eviction date were not stated in the reviewed clip. This remains an explainer, not an instruction to spend on voting.

PBB nominations and evictions: the house nominates, the viewers decide

Pinoy Big Brother flips the original Dutch Big Brother elimination process around. Here’s the usual flow of PBB nominations and evictions, based on how the show has run over the years:

  • Nomination. Housemates go to the confession room and name the people they want out, usually with reasons. The housemates with the most nomination points become the nominees. It’s normally two, but ties or an automatic nomination from Kuya can make it more.
  • Public vote. For about a week, viewers vote. In most seasons it’s vote to save, so you’re voting for who you want to stay.
  • Eviction. On eviction night, the nominee with the fewest save votes leaves the house.
  • Big Night. In the finale, the public votes for who wins, and the winner gets the title of Big Winner.

This is why nomination night is my favorite episode every week. Kahit gaano kabait sa camera, the confession room tells you who actually gets on everyone’s nerves. Then the vote tells you if the viewers agree. Madalas, hindi.

The voting formats PBB has used

The rules haven’t always been the same. These are the main voting formats the show has used:

  • Vote to save. The default. The nominee with the lowest share of save votes is evicted.
  • Vote to evict. Sometimes used instead. The nominee with the highest share of evict votes leaves.
  • Save and evict combined. First introduced in Double Up, where save votes and evict votes were combined into one result.

How people vote has changed too. Early seasons used SMS and voice calls, then vote cards, then online voting. Kumunity Season 10 introduced a 48-hour unlimited voting system. For the 2025 Collab season, the digital bank Maya said on its support page that it was the official and only voting app for PBB. I haven’t seen an official confirmation of the voting platform for Collab 3.0 yet, so wait for the show’s own announcement before you spend a single peso.

Real talk: never vote through a link someone sends you in a group chat. Kung hindi galing sa official PBB pages o sa app na in-announce mismo ng show, skip mo na.

Twists that changed the game in past seasons

PBB loves to mess with the nomination system, and the Collab seasons are no exception.

Duo nominations in Collab 1

In the Celebrity Collab Edition, housemates were paired up as Kapuso-Kapamilya duos who nominated and faced eviction together. It was also the first edition with a 3-point nomination system. That season ended with a duo Big Win.

Groups and Ligtask in Collab 2.0

In Collab 2.0, the teen celebrity housemates played in groups. Before each nomination, a Ligtask Challenge gave the winning group immunity. The other groups nominated whole groups, and from the nominated group, the housemate with the lowest vote from each agency was evicted.

Other twists from older seasons

Lucky 7 used Ligtask challenges instead of the public vote on many eviction nights for part of the season. Connect gave Head of Household holders a “Supercharged Power” to vote other housemates out themselves. And some seasons, including Collab 1, have used wildcards, giving housemates who were already out a way back into the race.

Ang lesson dito: don’t assume Collab 3.0 will copy any of these. Every Collab season so far has had its own system. The safe bet is that Kuya has something new planned.

PBB nominations and evictions in Collab 3.0: what we know so far

Here’s what’s been confirmed, as of November 8, 2026 (Manila):

  • Sixteen personalities were introduced at launch. Robbie Jaworski is a celebrity house guest, not an official housemate, as clarified November 8.
  • It’s the first Collab season to mix regular housemates and celebrities.
  • Robbie and Mikee are Kuya’s secret collaborators for the Big Collab Charity Mission. You can read about their secret tasks in our Robbie Day 5 post and Mikee Day 5 post.
  • The first weekly task, The Big Foundation, is underway, and the aswang task on Day 7 earned the house extra blocks for it.
  • The first nomination is on Sunday, November 8, 2026, per the official PBB announcement. The first nominees are Ethan Benares, Mikee Quintos and Nicole Fortuna (Kapuso); Calix Esguerra, Nathan Garcia and Primo Alterado (Kapamilya).

Confirmed for the first round: three individual Kapuso nominees and three individual Kapamilya nominees, with one departure from each side at the end of the week. What remains unconfirmed in the reviewed clip: the exact eviction date, voting platform, window and complete mechanics. Later rounds may have different rules.

My guess, and it’s only a guess: with Kapuso and Kapamilya teams already in place, I wouldn’t be surprised if team loyalty starts showing up in the nominations. Pero si Kuya ‘yan. He loves proving us wrong.

How to follow nominations without losing your mind

  • Watch the full nomination episode. Clips cut out the reasons, and the reasons are where the drama lives.
  • Check the official Pinoy Big Brother pages for the nominees and the voting rules. Fan accounts move fast, but they’re not always right.
  • Read up on the nominees before you vote. Our Housemates hub has a profile for every housemate, with their highlights so far.
  • Remember that one bad week on camera isn’t the whole person. Fifteen-minute edits can’t show everything that happens in 24 hours.

Why the vote matters more than people think

With PBB nominations and evictions, every season someone in the comments says the results are decided before the vote. I don’t buy it. Results have surprised me more times than I can count, and that’s exactly the point. The gap between what the house thinks and what the viewers think is the whole game.

If you care about a housemate, the best thing you can do is watch the full episodes, vote through the official channel once it’s announced, and argue nicely in the comments. Yes, nicely. Kuya is watching, and so am I.

I hope Jeo and Primo will stay until the end. They deserve to be appreciated, not just nominated. 💚
